本論文は、近年、新しく紹介されたワーク・エンゲイジメント(仕事に関して肯定的で充実した感情および態度)について概観したものである。最初に、エンゲイジメントが、活力、熱意、没頭から構成される概念であることを定義したうえで、先行要因と結果要因について言及した。すなわち、ワーク・エンゲイジメントは、仕事の資源(自律性、上司のコーチング、パフォーマンスのフィードバックなど)や個人の資源(楽観性、自己効力感、自尊心など)によって予測されるとともに、心身の健康、組織行動、パフォーマンスを予測することができる。次に、ワーク・エンゲイジメントに注目した組織と個人の活性化の方策について言及した。最後に、組織の活性化に向けたストレスチェック制度の戦略的活用について言及した。(著者抄録)

本稿では、日本行動医学会が推奨する行動科学コアカリキュラムについて、心理学の立場から考察し、このカリキュラムを医学部および健康・保健・医療に関連する学部で効果的に実施するためのポイントについて言及した。最初に、心理学の立場からコアカリキュラムの内容を概観し、カリキュラムの内容は大きく基礎的内容と応用的内容とに分けられること、基礎的内容は心理学の多様な領域と密接に関連していることを明らかにした。そのうえで、カリキュラムを効果的に実施するためのポイントとして、(1)行動科学に関する基礎的内容(理論)を伝える際には、その意義を十分に受講生に伝え、学習への動機づけを高めること、(2)受講者の自己効力感を高め、授業で学んだ知識やスキルの活用を積極的に促すための工夫を行うこと、の2点を指摘した。(著者抄録)

<p>The Japanese government has launched a new occupational health policy called the Stress Check Program. In the program, employers are obligated to analyze the Stress Check data in relevant groups and to utilize the data to improve the psychosocial work environment. This article discusses how to utilize Stress Check Program to achieve healthy workplaces. I first introduced the concept and procedures of work environment improvement in the program and, then, moved to a critical review of them. Finally, I illustrated a strategic use of Stress Check Program to achieve really healthy workplaces by a case study.</p>

Core Curriculum of Behavioral Science from Perspective of Psychology

This article discussed the core curriculum of behavioral science recommended by Japanese Society of Behavioral Medicine from perspective of psychology, and mentioned points to execute the curriculum in medical and health-related department effectively. First, I reviewed the content of core curriculum from the perspective of psychology, and showed that (1) the curriculum consists of basic and applied components and (2) the basic component is closely related to various fields of psychology. Then, I referred to the following two points to execute the curriculum effectively : (1) to explain purpose and significance of learning the basic component of behavioral science in order to improve motivation among students, and (2) to improve self-efficacy among students in order to facilitate the application of their acquired knowledge and skills into practice.

<p>Occupational mental health activities can be categorized into three strategies: primary, secondary, and tertiary preventions. Self-care training is one of the primary prevention activities, which aims to increase individual psychological resources such as coping. This article first refers to strategies for effective self-care training in occupational settings. Then, I introduced development process and contents of the evidence-based guideline for self-care education, which identifies factors facilitating self-care education in the workplace. I also introduced the self-care manual with tips for conducting self-care education and materials such as handouts and worksheet. This paper are expected to help the evidence-based self-care training prevail in more workplaces in Japan.</p>
