気道形状が高頻度振動換気時のガス輸送に及ぼす影響を調べるために，複数の非対称分岐からなる気道モデルを用いて流れの様子を調べた。強いS字形状を持つ左気管支側では，呼気・吸気とも上流にて発達した強い２次流れによって下流の２次流れの発達が抑制されることが明らかになった。

ミミズ巨大軸索の外液に，セロトニンまたはドーパミンを加えた際の，体壁への機械引っ掻き刺激により生じた興奮電位伝播速度を吸引電極法に計測した。セロトニンにより伝播速度は可逆的に遅くなり，またドーパミンにより速くなることが明らかになった。また免疫蛍光法にミミズ腹髄神経節にはセロトニンおよびドーパミン含有細胞が多く存在することも明らかになった。

ミミズ体壁に引っ掻き刺激を加えた際に生じる巨大軸索の興奮電位伝播を吸引電極法により調べた。頻回刺激により興奮電位伝播の消失（慣れ）が生じることを確認した。また慣れの後で興奮電位潜時の変化を調べたところ，潜時のばらつきが頻回刺激の後で減少することがわかった。この潜時の揃う生理的な意味についてはわかっていない。

コオロギ尾葉に頻回風刺激を加えると，介在神経細胞での細胞内カルシウムが蓄積的に上昇することを見い出した。またこの上昇に伴って介在神経細胞での興奮性後シナプス電位の頻度と振幅が減少することが明らかになった。こに興奮性後シナプス電位の減少は，介在神経細胞内部のカルシウム上昇をカルシウムキレート剤により抑えると見られなくなった。

マウスの足に腫瘍を移植し，重粒子線とX線を照射した際の腫瘍内酸素分圧変化を自作した微小酸素電極により計測した。腫瘍組織内の酸素分圧は重粒子線照射後に上昇し，この上昇は９日間続いた。またこの酸素分圧の一過的上昇はX線照射時にも観察されたが，上昇期間は重量子線と比較して短かった。この酸素分圧上昇は放射線照射後に観察される再酸素化過程を反映しているものと考えた。

コオロギ最終腹部神経節に存在する巨大介在神経細胞は尾葉に加えられた風刺激情報を統合する役割を担っている。この神経細胞内のカルシウム動員機構について調べたところ，活動電位を発生した時にのみ，細胞内カルシウム濃度上昇が生じることが分った。この細胞内カルシウム上昇は風応答性感覚神経細胞からのシナプス伝達効率の短期間抑制と関連していることから，一過的な細胞内カルシウム濃度上昇がアンチヘビアン型学習を樹状突起上で局所的に行っている可能性を示す。
