粘弾性体中における超音波照射下の単一ガス気泡の運動を可視化する実験手法を開発した。ゼラチン中にナノ秒バルスレーザーを集光しプラズマを発生させることにより作成した球形ガス気泡に超音波を照射し、その体積振動を高速度カメラにより撮影する光学系を構築した。

空気過飽和水を用いた超音波洗浄技術を新たに提案した。ベンチュリー式の曝気法により水道水への空気溶存を促し、空気過飽和水を生成した。この空気過飽和水中に被洗浄体を浸し、集束超音波を照射した際、洗浄表面でガス性ギャビテーション気泡が発生し、その気泡の体積振動が洗浄効率の向上に寄与することを実験的に示した。

一次元キャビテーション気泡群の初生から崩壊に至る力学挙動を記述する物理モデルの提案ならびに数値シミュレーション手法の開発を行った。一次元衝撃波と可動壁の干渉に関するテイラーの問題で発生するキャビテーション気泡群の力学を均質気泡流モデルとRayleigh-Plessetの式のカップリングにより記述することにより、初生ならびに崩壊時に重要となるキャビテーション気泡の非定常運動のシミュレーション予測が可能となった。
