Noriyuki Harada was born in 1963 and majored in English literature at Keio University. He got BA, MA and Ph.D. at Keio. He started his teaching career at Kyorin University in 1994 and then worked for Tokyo Woman's Christian University as a professor and dean. He is teaching at Keio as a professor at the department of English since 2019. He is also working for the English Literary Society of Japan as President, for the Science Council of Japan, Japan University Accreditation Association, and Dr. Johnson's House in London as a board of trustees. His major fields are early modern and modern English literature (mainly novels), comparative literature, and the history of book production in Britain.

My major fields are Samuel Johnson and eighteenth-century English literature, novels and the history of novels in the nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first centuries, comparative literature, and the history of book production in Britain.
