I received BA in Liberal Arts from International Christianity University in 2002 and PhD in Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2007. I taught at the University of Georgia for one year and moved to Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. I stayed there for five years, serving as the director of the phonetics laboratory there. I moved to the Keio Institute of Cultural and Linguistic studies starting June 2013. Associate editor: Phonology, Language and Linguistic Compass.
