After obtaining a master’s degree of science in Applied Chemistry from Keio University in 1988, Tetsuya Toma joined Sumitomo 3M as an product development engineer. He then moved to 3M Company Headquarter in the USA in 2001 and worked as an advanced product development specialist of Optical Systems Division until 2007. He developed various new products for electronics and LC display markets and successfully introduced them to the global markets. After serving for 3M for 20 years, he joined Keio University as an associate professor in 2008 and was promoted to full professorship in 2016. Ph.D. in System Design and Management, PMP (Project Management Professional). Deputy Director, Keio Photonics Research Institute. Director, PMI Japan Chapter (2010-2017).
