Optical parametric oscillatorを用いて紫外域で心筋の蒸散特性を実験的に調査した。蒸散効率は300nmより短波長で急激に増加する。またこれに伴って周囲組織損傷が低下する。これらの紫外域の蒸散では光音響効果が蒸散機構に関与していることが分かった。
