  • I specialize in contemporary Chinese politics, with a focus on the governance structure and political processes of the Chinese Communist Party regime. In particular, I examine the multilayered structure of the party-state and transformations in state–society relations, analyzing empirically the linkages between domestic governance and foreign strategy.
