• 　大学院を修了後、最初の大学では近代経済学の原論を担当し、その後、京大で経済統計学を担当した後、現在の慶應経済ではマルクス経済学の原論を担当している。これらはまったく違った三分野に見えるがそうではない。現代のマルクス経済学では数学利用は当たり前のことで、かつまた主流派近代経済学との接点も非常に多い。これは、主流派経済学がゲーム論などの開拓で発展してきたことにもよるが、他方で、マルクス経済学が「反主流派」的な傍流意識を捨てさえすれば得られる結論でもある。もう少し言うと、マルクスが『資本論』で主に解明したのは、詐欺瞞着も暴力もない純粋な等価交換の世界でも労働搾取が成立していることであった。だから、ここでの経済像はまったく新古典派的な「純粋資本主義」でも一向に構わない。そうであっても、搾取が存在するということがマルクスの主張の中心点だったからである。 　したがって、私が開拓してているモデルは基本的には一切の外部性も、情報の不完全性も、そして経済主体の非合理性もない新古典派的な世界のものである。これを前提としても労働搾取の存在することはすでに置塩信雄によって証明されているが(「マルクスの基本定理」)、私はそれを動学モデルとして拡張し、資本主義の死滅を証明した。ここで言う「資本主義の死滅」とは「資本蓄積が社会の第一義的課題であることを辞めること」を意味している。 　数学モデルの良いところは、個々のモデルの前提が明示され、したがって、その限界を次の研究で突破することができることである。このため、私の研究グループは各方面にこのモデル(「マルクス派最適成長モデル」)の拡張作業を行なっている。その概要は、大西広『マルクス経済学(第二版)』慶應義塾大学出版会、2015年で見ることができる。

  <p>Capital is Marx's most important achievement and publication. While this is true, he also prioritized the analysis of pre-capitalistic modes of production and left a note on this work. This note was found in 1939 in the Soviet Union and subsequently published as the title of Pre-Capitalistic Economic Formations. In this note, we can find numerous new (at that time) academic contents. This implies that Marx was devoted to study the newest archaeological and historical findings. He believed that these researches, as well as the content of Volumes 2 and 3 of Capital, are very important. Therefore, "Marxian economics" should also be updated with associated archaeological and historical scientific knowledge in the twenty-first century, and we should update our understanding of pre-capitalistic economic systems. For this purpose, here, we want to provide a clear definition of agricultural society including slavery system and serfdom using Boserup's theory of population pressure.</p>
