Speculative Future Imagined Through Satellite Imageries with Generative AI

"Water City"visualizes a speculative city in 2300 affected by sea level rise, using generative AI. The semi-fictional satellite images depict coastal scenes and urban landscapes, stimulating viewers' imagination and helping them perceive climate change as a personal issue. Balancing scientific accuracy and artistic spontaneity, this approach fosters dialogue about speculative futures. By blending fiction and reality, it encourages viewers to imagine the future of their own city, turning abstract environmental issues into concrete, personal challenges. This method demonstrates the potential of image generation AI for emotional data visualization and creative discussions.

ラティス構造では自由曲面データが扱えるため，少ないデータサイズで形状を転送できる。また，受信側では高品質な曲面形状のレンダリングが可能である。自由曲面データは，頂点間の接続関係が自身と同一である単純なポリゴンとその付加情報のセットとしてデータを管理するラティス構造に変換される。このデータ表現はポリゴンとして扱えるため，既存のデータフォーマットに対して容易に自由曲面情報を付加できる。更に，ラティス構造は，直感的に曲面モデルを変形できるため，モデリング手法としても有用である。
