本稿では、複数のメディアそれぞれに任意の同期点を設け、それらの関係により時間的関係を記す方式を示す。また、与えられた時間的関係に基づき、メディア再生時のプロセス間同期を強調型同期方式に基づき実現する方式について述べる。

本論文では、共有メモリを持たない分散処理環境において、任意のデータベース演算から構成される問合せをストリーム思考型並列処理方式により、並列に処理する場合に、問合せを効率よく実行するためのメモリ資源割り当て方式を提案している。また、実際の問合せに適用した場合の割り当て結果、および、問合せの処理時間の予測値を示し、メモリ資源割り当て方式の有効性を明らかにしている。

ReSCは、共有メモリ型マルチプロセッサや単一プロセッサが高速ネットワークで結合されるようなハードウェア環境を、逐次から並列・分散まで様々な応用プログラム（AP)で共有するための分散型OSである。各APの要求に応じてシステムの機能を利用可能にするために、2種類の調和を実現している。ここでは、調和の考え方、調和が実現されていない状況（競合）、その実現方法について説明する。
