冷戦時代には封じられていた東側の情報が冷戦終結に伴って、様々な形で公開されるようになった。それら新資料を使って、ベトナム戦争終結にソ連をはじめとした旧東側諸国が大きく貢献したということを、和平プロセスを丁寧に追う事で明らかにした。
