学振では学術研究の将来を担う研究者の養成・確保を目的とした特別研究員事業を行っており，その選考に際しては適正・公平な審査に努めている．その審査は，専門的見地から３段階で行われるが，第一段の書面審査はすべての審査の基盤となるものである．その質を高めていくため，同会議学術システム研究センターにおいて，審査終了後書面審査結果の検証を行い，その結果を翌年度の専門委員の選考に適切に反映している．さらに平成21年度より，検証結果に基づき，書面審査における有意義な審査意見を付した専門委員を表彰することとし，書面審査を行った約1,600名の専門委員のうち，表彰対象となる任期2年目にあたる約600名の中から114名を選考した．http://www.jsps.go.jp/j-pd/data/senmon_hyosholist/h26hyosholist.pdf
