Crystal Structure Dependence of Oxygen Evolution Reaction for YBa2Cu3O7-delta as Electrochemical Catalyst

Oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is an essential part of the electrolysis of water in the fields of renewable energy, and rechargeable metal–air batteries. However, since the large overpotential of OER causes an energy loss in electrolysis of water, an appropriate OER electrocatalyst is required. The OER requires an electrode as the catalyst to enhance its reaction efficiency. Practical, existing OER catalysts are metal oxides of noble metals like Iridium (Ir) and Ruthenium (Ru). The practical OER catalysts are expensive, and their introduction into large-scale industrial facilities and infrastructure requires high costs, which presents a barrier to smart society. The search for alternative materials that are both cheaper and possess high catalytic activity is required to remove the barrier. One approach for an inexpensive OER catalyst is research on transition metal layered oxides with oxygen vacancies. Indeed, Hirai et al., in [S. Hirai, et al., J. Mater. Chem. A 6, 15102-15109 (2018). Oxygen vacancy-originated highly active electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction], reported that an layered perovskite-related compound with oxygen vacancies Sr2VFeAsO3-delta (delta >= 0.5) exhibits the lower OER overpotential and the larger reaction rate than those of conventional OER catalyst. Thus, layered perovskite-related compounds possess functionality as electrochemical catalysts. A representative layered perovskite-related compound is the orthorhombic YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO), known as a high-critical-temperature superconductor. As the delta increases in YBCO, superconducting phase disappears, it becomes an insulator, and its crystal structure becomes tetragonal. The functionality of tetragonal YBCO that does not exhibit a superconducting phase is still unknown. In this report, the function of tetragonal YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO) was investigated as a new OER catalyst, which enhances the activity because of the reaction mechanism caused by oxygen deficiency. YBCO samples were synthesized via a sol-gel reaction and calcined at 760, 820 and 920 deg. C. Crystal structures were determined by powder X-ray Diffraction (XRD). The overpotentials of YBCO as an OER catalyst were measured by Rotating Ring Disk Electrodes (RRDE). OER activity of YBCO is superior to a bare glassy carbon and carbon black with regards to OER overpotential and Tafel slope. Moreover, the crystal structure of YBCO may play a role in the enhancement of OER activity. Tetragonal YBCO exhibits better OER catalyst activity than that of orthorhombic YBCO. [N. Takehara, R. Metal organic deposited partially Gd-substituted YBa2Cu3O7−delta ((Y, Gd)BCO) thin films on SrTiO3 substrate were heat-treated in hydrogen (H2) atmosphere below 300 deg. C with or without hydride (H−) bias irradiation. two kinds (Y, Gd)BCO thin films prepared as an over-doped (delta~0.05) sample and an under-doped (delta~0.35) sample were used for the heat treatments. The (Y, Gd)BCO) crystallographic phase of under-doped sample preserves during heat treatment at T = 250 deg. C, while the (Y, Gd)BCO) crystallographic phase of over-doped sample disappears. Lattice constants of the samples were compared before and after heat treatments. Each sample, which is heated at T ~200 deg. C, exhibits larger lattice volumes than that of before heat treatment. The larger lattice volumes are mainly due to possibly larger delta. The H2 atmosphere works as reductant gas for the (Y, Gd)BCO) thin films. We cannot find a crystallographic difference between samples heated “with” and “without” H− bias irradiation at T ~ 200 deg. C. Samples, which were heated at T = 210 deg. C, the value of the lattice constant c depends on “with” and “without” H− bias irradiation. The c exhibits the smaller value after the heat treatment with H− bias irradiation, although the c exhibits larger value after the heat treatment without H− bias irradiation. These results indicate that H− irradiation probably demonstrates partial H− substitution for oxygen site in (Y, Gd)BCO thin films. Theoretical lattice constants of Y0.67Gd0.33Ba2Cu3O7−xHy (x = 0, 0.16, 0.33, 0.50, 0.67, y = 0, 0.16, 0.33, 0.50, 0.67) were obtained by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The DFT calculations were demonstrated by Vienna ab-initio Simulation Package (VASP). Indeed, the DFT results predict that a smaller c for H-substituted Y0.67Gd0.33Ba2Cu3O7−xHy appears for (x = 0.33, y = 0, 0.16, 0.33, 0.50, 0.67). In a region (x = 0.33, y = 0, 0.16, 0.33, 0.50, 0.67), the theoretical c exhibits smaller value with increasing y; i.e. amount of H− at oxygen site. The H− substitution for oxygen site in (Y, Gd)BCO thin films is supported by the DFT calculation. In MRM2025, we demonstrate transport properties and superconducting transition temperatures (Tcs) for these (Y, Gd)BCO) thin films.

Fe-based mixed anion layered compounds (MALC), REFePnO (RE: lanthanides. Pn: P, As), exhibit a superconducting phase at low temperatures. The highest transition temperature (Tc) among Fe-based MALC is 58.1 K for SmFeAsO1-xFx. On the other hand, in nickelate superconductor, La4Ni3O1-delta has Tc of 30 K at 60 GPa. LaNiPO, Ni-based MALC, shows superconductivity at temperatures under 3 K. LaNiPO and related materials are candidates which exhibit Tc as high as those of Fe-based and metal oxide superconductors. In the synthesis of MALC superconductor, oxygen deficiency is inevitable, and it causes a decrease in superconducting performance. In Sr2VFeAsO3, oxygen deficiency (delta) and lattice volume are positively correlated. We aim to evaluate delta from analysis X-ray diffraction (XRD) of synthesized samples with lattice volume. DFT calculation is performed by Vienna ab-initio Simulation Package (VASP), a programming package for density functional theory (DFT) in projector augmented wave (PAW) method.

The surface energy of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x (Bi-2212) was calculated by first-principles calculations using a slab model of Bi-2212, and the stability was evaluated. A correlation between surface energy and catalytic capacity has also been reported, so there is room for further study.

LnFePnO (Ln: lanthanides. Pn: P, As.), a Fe-based mixed anion layered compound (MALC), exhibits a superconducting phase at low temperatures. The highest transition temperature (Tc) among Fe-based MALC is 58.1 K for SmFeAsO1-xFx [2]. On the other hand, La4Ni3O1−δ. a Ni-oxide superconductor, exhibits Tc of 30 K at 60 GPa [3]. LaNiPO, a Ni-based MALC, shows superconductivity at temperatures under 3 K [4]. The crystal structure is shown in Fig. 1. LaNiPO and related materials are candidates that have Tc as high as those of Fe-based MALC and Ni oxide superconductors. La, P, and Ni were heated at 700 deg. C for 10 h to obtain LaP-NiP-Ni2P (133 powder). Synthesis of LaNiPO samples was performed by heat-treating 133 powder and La2O3 at different temperatures.

Sr2CuZnSO3-delta, a mixed anion layer compound, is a member of both systems, 21113 system and Sr-CuM-O-S (M = Zn, Ga, In) system. 21113 system compounds are layered perovskite structures and reported to have oxygen deficiency. The amount of oxygen deficiency () affects electrical resistivity and lattice constants. Materials in Sr-Cu-M-O-S (M = Zn, Ga, In) system have CuS layers and SrMO3 layers. Sr2Cu2ZnS2O2 and Sr2CuMSO3 were reported to exhibit P-type transparent semiconducting properties. The electrical conductivity () increased with Na doping concentration in Sr sites and temperature. The electrical bandgap (Eg) of Sr2Cu2ZnS2O2 was 2.7 eV. We expect that Sr2CuZnSO3- exhibits P-type transparent semiconducting properties and controlling , we can optimize the electrical conductivity of the sample. Sr2CuZnSO3- is similar to Sr2CuMnSO3 in terms of the ionic radius of Zn and Mn, crystal system (tetragonal), and space group (P4/nmm). We referred to the crystal structure, lattice constants and X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of Sr2CuMnSO3. Sr2CuZnSO3- ( = 0.5) samples were synthesized in solid reaction method. Dehydration of Sr(OH)28H2O powder is performed by heating at 900℃ for 15 h to obtain SrO. Cu and S were heated at 300℃ for 40 h to obtain CuS. Stoichiometric amounts of SrO, ZnO, Zn and CuS powders were mixed in a agate mortar for 30 minutes and pressed into pellets. The pellets were heated at 900℃ for 40 h and we obtained Sr2CuZnSO3- samples. Weighing of powders was performed in a globe box filled with Ar (O2, H2O  1 ppm) and heat treatment was performed in a vacuumed silica tube. The samples were in the Alumina tube during heat treatment to prevent the reaction of Sr with the silica tube. The crystal phases were determined by the XRD measurement system (Rigaku Co. Ltd. Ultima IV, CuK alpha). Lattice constants of the samples were corrected using a Si standard sample. The surface of the samples was observed using a metallurgical microscope and the particle size was measured. The electrical resistivity of the samples was measured at room temperature and in the range of 50 to 400 K by the two-probe method using the Micro Probe System (MPS-CHL) while applying current in the range of 0.1 to 0.2 micro A.

Thermoelectric conversion materials (TEC) and technologies, which have been demonstrated at T = 300-600 K, are long-term fundamental problems for innovation. State-of-art thermoelectric materials are Bi2Te3-based materials. However the fundamental reports for the Bi2Te3-based materials had been demonstrated from 1954. New materials, which is NOT a Bi2Te3-based material, have been explored for innovation. Since the early 2000s, mixed anion layered compounds (MALCs) have been potential candidates for various electrical and electronic applications. A representative MALC LaCuChO (Ch = S, Se), which belongs to the tetragonal P4/nmm space group, exhibits a layered structure, with alternating layers of carrier blocking La2O2 and carrier conducting Cu2(S, Se)2 along to the c axis. On the other hand, BiCuSeO, which exhibits a layered structure as well as LaCuChO, was reported as a promising TEC material by Zhao et al., Appl. Phys. Lett. 97, 092118 (2010). In 2024, our group reported the thermoelectric properties of several LaCuChO in Jonker plot. (Azuma et al., Korean J. Mater. Res. 34, 464-474 (2024).). The Jonker plot helps us to evaluate previously reported transport properties of LaCuChO in thermal physics. In this JKMST2025, we will talk about thermoelectric properties for LaCu1−deltaS1−xSexO as a wide-gap semiconductor and a degenerated semiconductor due to Cu defect and mixed anion state in crystallographic chalcogenide site.

Synthesis of polycrystalline hexagonal perovskite BaNi1-xO3-y featured by nickel deficiency has been succeeded, which contains very little impurity phases. The sample was synthesized by Sol-gel method, using dextran. Ba(NO3)2 and Ni(NO3)2 6(H2O) were dissolved into water with metal atom ratio of 1:0.7. Then the solution was mixed with dextran. After drying in air at least 1 day, the gel-like precursor was calcined, then sample of black powder, nominal polycrystalline BaNi0.7O3-y, was obtained. XRD analysis indicated Bragg diffraction of the sample were assigned to hexagonal BaNiO3 lattice with space group “P 63/m m c”. There were very little impurity phases of NiO and BaNi0.83O2.5. Very weak unknown reflections were also detected, which were of other phases. Lattice constants were value of a = 0.5582 nm and c = 0.4861 nm, different from any reported one. Because there were no measure unknown reflections, this sample seems to have disorganized nickel vacancies which is as much as 30% of ideal nickel amount. The ratio of Ba and Ni was investigated by SEM-EDX analysis and it was found that the ratio was corresponded to that of initial mixture approximately. The measure of catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) was applied to BaNi1-xO3-y. The current density and overpotential could not be determined because there was large polarization between upward and downward voltage sweeping in cyclic voltammetry (CV). This polarization indicates changes of crystalline phase and composition of sample. This polarization is observed until at least 50 cycle of CV, thus the changes of sample state is considered partly reversible.

Since the early 2000s, mixed anion layered compounds (MALCs) have attracted considerable attention as promising materials exhibiting a wide range of electrical, electronic, magnetic, superconducting, and catalytic functionalities. A representative example of MALCs is LaCuChO (Ch = S, Se), which crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group and consists of alternating carrier-blocking La2O2 layers and carrier-conducting Cu2Ch2 layers stacked along the c-axis. A structurally analogous layered compound, BiCuSeO, in which La is replaced by Bi, was reported by Zhao et al. to be a promising thermoelectric material (Appl. Phys. Lett. 97, 092118 (2010)).
LaCuChO (Ch = S, Se) is a wide band gap insulator with an optical band gap of approximately 3 eV. Due to copper deficiency on the order of 1 at.%, hole doping occurs, resulting in p-type carrier polarity. In a polycrystalline sample of LaCu0.99S0.5Se0.5O, where S and Se are each solid-solution at 50% on the Ch site and ~1 at.% Cu deficiency (delta) is introduced, impurity levels within the optical band gap have been observed—attributed to gap states induced by the defects. The electrical properties of LaCu0.99S0.5Se0.5O exhibit temperature dependence indicative of a degenerate semiconductor above room temperature. However, in a sample with 2 at.% Cu deficiency (delta = 0.02), despite the persistence of gap states, the resistivity at room temperature reached approximately 0.1 MΩ·cm, indicative of insulating behavior. This suggests that, in addition to Cu vacancies, other compensating defects at crystallographic sites may arise that neutralize the carriers. In this presentation, we report an evaluation of the thermoelectric performance of LaCuChO (Ch = S, Se) using Jonker plots.

2006年に鉄系混合アニオン層状化合物（MALC）超伝導体が発見されて以来、多くの研究が進められてきました。その中で、Sr₂VFeAsO₃−δ（21113系）が有望視され、Tconsetが37.2Kと報告されています。本研究では、Tiをドープした Sr₂V₁₋ₓTiₓFeAsO₃（Tiドープ21113V）を固相反応法で合成しました。SrO、FeAs、V、V₂O₅、Ti₂O₃ を 1050℃で40時間焼成し、粉末・バルクXRDで結晶相を解析しました。さらに、四端子法による電気抵抗測定とMPMSによる磁化測定を行いました。

Zintl phase compound is one of the most promising thermoelectric materials. In particular,
various high-performance thermoelectric materials were found in 122-Zintl phase compounds AM2X2 (A: alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, M: transition metal, X: pnictogen).
Recently, we found that 143-Zintl phase compounds of RbZn4As3, whose crystal structure is close to 122-Zintl phase compounds, exhibits relatively high thermoelectric performance with the value of the dimensionless figure-of-merit (ZT) to be 0.53 (T=797K) [1]. We proposed that 143-Zintl phase compound can be a new class of high-performance thermoelectric materials.
In this study, we extended the study to Rb(Cd,Zn)4As3, where Zn was replaced by Cd to reduce the lattice thermal conductivity.
We synthesized those samples by solid-state reactions. The total thermal conductivity of RbCd4As was extremely low to be 0.83 W/mK (T=470 K) that is advantageous for achieving high ZT value. Crystal structure analysis was conducted by powder neutron diffraction measurement. The results show that Rb atoms vibrate relatively large, which can be the origin of its low lattice thermal conductivity.

Mixed anion layered compounds (MALCs), which contain several different anions in crystallographic sites, are novel functional materials. Indeed, high-Tc superconductors [1], high-efficient thermoelectric conversion materials [2], transparent semiconductor [3], and electrical catalyst for oxygen evolution reaction [4] have been found in MALCs. In the conference, we demonstrate a review on the MALCs and magnetic properties of a representative MALC, Sr2VFeAsO3-δ. Sr2VFeAsO3-δ is a mixed anion layered compound with a thick-blocking layer composed by a perovskite-related vanadium oxide layer. In 2019, an electric and magnetic phase diagram as a function of oxygen deficiency (δ) on superconducting Sr2VFeAsO3-δ was experimentally demonstrated. In this study, the magnetic stability of V and Fe in Sr2VFeAsO3-δ (δ = 0, 0.25, 0.50) was theoretically verified based on the density functional theory. Stable magnetic phases of the V are antiferromagnetic ordered phase between two ferromagnetic V magnetic layers (so-called A-AFM) for δ = 0. And the stable magnetic phases of V are ferrimagnetic ordered phase (Ferri.) for δ = 0.25, 0.50. Magnetic phases of Fe are a stripe-type antiferromagnetic ordered phase (s-AFM) in δ = 0, 0.25, 0.50, although the magnetic phases of the Fe with δ = 0.25 shows almost the same formation energy between s-AFM and paramagnetic (PM) ordered phases. Theoretical magnetic ordered phases are qualitatively consistent with the experimental electronic and magnetic phase diagrams for Sr2VFeAsO3-δ, although quantitative differences appear between measured for amounts of element specific magnetic moments and theoretical ones. Layered oxychalcogenide RETMChO (RE: rare-earth, TM: transition metal, Ch: chalcogen) is known as a compound that exhibits various electronic properties such as transparent p-type conductivity and high thermoelectric efficiency. The crystallographic structure of RETMChO can be composed by variety of elements, which are replacd by several RE and TM as cations and Ch as anions. Furthermore, the carrier transport is seemed as two-dimensional because the carrier-conducting TMCh layer and the carrier-blocking REO layer are sandwiched in an unit cell. In the unit cell, a square lattice is formed by TM of the constituent elements. LaCuChO is a a representative RETMChO. In 2000-2010, several reserchers had tryed to generate p-type carrier in LaCuChO using aliovalent ion doping in the insulating TMCh layer. Hiramatsu et al. and Goto et al. reports that Cu deficient is a dominant factor to generate p-type carriers in LaCuChO. [H. Hiramatsu, T. Kamiya, T. Tohei, E. Ikenaga, T. Mizoguchi, Y. Ikuhara, K. In this study, polycrystalline LaCuS0.25Se0.75O samples were synthesized via solid state reaction. Purity of the obtained bulk samples was examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) using CuK radiation (Rigaku Rint 2500). Total diffuse reflectance spectra were measured using a spectrometer equipped with integrating sphere (Hitachi High-Tech, U-4100). Electrical resistivity (r) was measured by the four-probe method. Thermal conductivity (k) and seebeck coefficient (S) were measured by the steady state method to evaluate dimensionless figure of merit (ZT) of the samples. The samples exhibit optical band gap ~ 2.83 eV. Broad optical absorption around 2.3 eV was also observed indicateing in-gap states due to Cu deficiency. r = 55 Ωcm, k = 5.2 Wm-1K-1, S = 339 micro VK-1, giving ZT ~ 2•10-5 at 673 K.

Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x (Bi-2212)に対してCoをドープを施した多結晶粉末をゾルゲル法により作製した。
CoをCuサイト、Biサイト、に部分置換を仕込み組成において試みた試料を作製した。それぞれの過電圧は、0.45 V, 0.38 Vであった。比較としてアセチレンブラックの過電圧は0.56 Vであった。すなわちBi-2212は電気化学触媒としての機能を示す。

We focus on a mixed anion layered compound GdFeAsO (Gd1111) as a mother compound for high-Tc iron-based superconductor. Mössbuer spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT) reveiled antiferromagnetic (AF) phase of GdFeAsO. In Gd1111 compounds, F-doping supresses the AF phase of Fe. A superconducting phase of Gd1111 appears in F-doped Gd1111 exhibiting nonmagnetic Fe at low temperatures. Superconducting transition temperature (Tc) depends on F-content in GdFeAsO1-xFx, although intrinsic F contents still controvertial for F-doped GdFeAsO. We demonstrate an electronic and magnetic phase diagram for GdFeAsO1-xFx.

Mixed anion layered compounds (MACLs) demonstrate several functional electronic properties; i.e., thermoelectric conversion1, superconductivity2, and transparent semiconductivity3. These functionalities strongly depend on the chemical compositions, that had been controversial on a complex mixed anion compound. Semiconducting MALC LaCu1−deltaS0.5Se0.5O are synthesized via solid state reaction. We synthesized several nominal LaCu1−deltaS0.5Se0.5O (delta = 0, ~0.01, and ~0.02). A degenerated semiconducting bulk LaCu1−deltaS0.5Se0.5O appears at delta ~ 0.014. p-type carriers are doped due to Cu deficient Cu1−deltaS0.5Se0.5 layers in LaCu1−deltaS0.5Se0.5O. In-gap states, which dominate electrical conduction, are observed at energy ~0.5 eV higher than that of the valence band in an energy band diagram for delta ~ 0.01.

　View Summary

After the discovery of graphene in 2004, 2D magnetic materials have earned a great interest among condensed matter physicists and material engineers due to their fascinating magnetic properties. The 2D magnetic materials have proven that they are worth of investigating as they gave birth to van der Waals materials or topological insulators. They are the
type of materials that will introduce the new era for information and semiconductor technology.
The previous paper by R. Sakagami et el1,2 demonstrated that EuSn2As2 samples were prepared from Eu ingots and
Sn-As pallets through a liquid phase reaction in carbon crucibles within vacuum silica tubes.1) The resulting crystal structure of EuSn2As2 has a sandwich shape where top and bottom layers are Eu, and SnAs bilayer is positioned in between Eu layers.
After successful synthesis, heat capacity measurement was performed through physical property measurement system (PPMS) from Quantum Design Inc. As shown in Figure 1, we observed that there was a sudden increase of heat capacity around 24 K which implies that antiferromagnetic transition occurred. It is noted that the heat capacity of EuSn2As2 tends to follow Dulong-Petit limit at high temperature which means ultimately it would reach C = 3nR where n is the number of atoms per formula and R is the molar-gas constant. Nevertheless, at sufficiently low temperature,
Dulong-Petit law does not hold anymore. It is necessary to take account for lattice vibration which is involving Debye model into our formula to obtain a value of electronic heat capacity4), Sommerfeld constant. In the conference, we will demonstrate a Sommerfeld constant for polycrystalline EuSn2As2.

緒言
　GoldsmidとDouglasによるBi2Te3系材料の開発1)以来, 60年以上,実用を目指した熱電変換の研究は,材料の素子化やモジュール化に重点が置かれた. 近年は新たな結晶構造の材料候補が提案されつづけている. 磁性トポロジカル絶縁体としての物性の有無についての議論2,3)のある2次元磁性体EuSn2Pn2は, 熱電変換性についてSakagamiらにより報告された.4,5) EuSn2Pn2は,層状構造をとる点,空間群がR3mである点, vdW結合を有する点,および, 孤立電子対を有する点で, Bi2Te3の結晶と共通する特徴を示す. この層状化合物においては, 孤立電子対に起因する熱伝導率低減が着目されている.
実験方法
　Euは購入時,油漬されているため, 短時間, アセトンで超音波洗浄し,その表面をキムワイプで拭き取り,アルゴン雰囲気のGB内へ移動して使用した. Euは金属ヤスリを用いて, 粉末化した. P粒を, めのう乳鉢・乳棒で摩砕し得られたP粉末と,Sn粉末を,化学量比でSn：P＝１：１になるように,かつ,Sn及びPの合計の質量が0.6623ｇになるように秤量し,めのう乳鉢・乳棒で混合・摩砕した.その油圧20MPaの一軸加圧でペレット状に成型し,Sn-Pペレットを得た.化学量論比でEu:Sn:P=1:2:2となるように, Sn-PペレットとEu片を,カーボンるつぼ内に入れた.これらの作業はGB内で行った.得られた出発物入りカーボンるつぼを石英ガラス管内に真空封入し,熱処理した.熱処理後,石英ガラス管を割り,試料入りカーボンるつぼを取り出した.これをアルミ箔で包みハンマで叩き割り,試料を回収した.切り出された試料片を,めのう乳鉢・乳棒で粉砕し,XRD測定し相同定した.

超伝導は転移温度以下で電気抵抗が 0 になる現象で, 超伝導磁石や送電線に応用されている. 今回扱う鉄
系超伝導体 SmFeAsO1-xHx は, SmO 層と FeAs 層が積み重なった構造を取る. 水素負イオンをドープすると生
じた電子が鉄の反強磁性相を消し, 55 K 以下で超伝導相になる. 水素負イオンドープは多量の電子を供給で
き, 超伝導転移温度を上げることが可能となる利点がある. LaFeAsO 由来の超伝導体は転移温度が約 7 K 上昇
して 35 K になる[1]
. 我々は試料 SmFeAsO0.77H0.14の磁気測定により, この試料の臨界電流密度を明らかにした.

鉄系層状高温超伝導体の1つであるSr2VFeAsO3 (21113V)1は, ペロブスカイト関連Sr2VO3層とPbO型FeAs層が互いに積層した複合アニオン層状化合物(Mixed anion layered compounds: MALCs)である. 21113Vは, 酸素欠損量()  0.145 の酸素欠損量()を示す化学組成においてバルク超伝導相2を示すのみならず, Powder-in-tube (PIT)法により超電導線材が作製可能3であり, 高機能な酸素発生電気化学触媒4である. すなわち, 多機能な材料といえる. Nakamuraらは, 21113V ( = 0)の安定な磁性相を分子式中の鉄(Fe), バナジウム(V)ともに反強磁性と報告した.5 ところで, 21113Vの安定な磁性相は, の変化に対応し変化する.2 しかしながら, 実験的に得られる  0の化学組成を示す21113Vの磁性相と比較可能な理論的な磁性相モデルは, いまだ不明であった. 我々は, 21113V ( = 0, 0.25, 0.5)の 21113Vにおける酸素欠損由来の磁性相転移の詳細を, 密度汎関数理論(DFT)に基づき報告する. 21113V (0)のVはフェリ磁性を示す.2 21113V (0)は, 低温において常伝導相を示す ~ 0.25において最大の自発磁化を示す.2 21113Vの磁気相図は, DFTに基づき得られた21113V中のFe, Vの理論的なスピン分極により支持される.6

Sr2VFeAsO3δ is a mixed anion layered compound with a thick-blocking layer composed by a perovskite-related vanadium oxide layer. In 2019, an electric and magnetic phase diagram as a function of oxygen deficiency (δ) on superconducting Sr2VFeAsO3δ was experimentally demonstrated. [1] In this study, the magnetic stability of V and Fe in Sr2VFeAsO3δ (δ = 0, 0.25, 0.50) was theoretically verified based on the density functional theory. Stable magnetic phases of the V are antiferromagnetic ordered phase between two ferromagnetic V magnetic layers (so-called A-AFM) for δ = 0. [2] And the stable magnetic phases of V are ferrimagnetic ordered phase (Ferri.) for δ = 0.25, 0.50. [3-5] Magnetic phases of Fe are a stripe-type antiferromagnetic ordered phase (s-AFM) in δ = 0, 0.25, 0.50, although the magnetic phases of the Fe with δ = 0.25 shows almost the same formation energy between s-AFM and paramagnetic (PM) ordered phases. Theoretical magnetic ordered phases are qualitatively consistent with the experimental electronic and magnetic phase diagrams for Sr2VFeAsO3δ, although quantitative differences appear between measured for amounts of element specific magnetic moments and theoretical ones.

Mixed anion layered compound (MALC) Sr2VFeAsO3-δ is one of the iron-based superconductors with an oxygen-deficient perovskite-related crystal structure of Sr2VO3-δ.
The oxygen deficiency (δ) of Sr2VFeAsO3-δ affects to the superconductivity and magnetic ordering : bulk superconductivity with 0.031 =< δ =< 0.145 and V-3d ferrimagnetism with 0.124 =< δ =< 0.631. The ferrimagnetism can possibly enhance the thermoelectrical properties for Sr2VFeAsO3-δ. Sr2VFeAsO3-δ can be a promising thermoelectrical material due to the tenability of carrier by δ, the larger lattice volume and two-dimensional crystal structure. In this report, dimensionless figure of merit (ZT) = ~5×10-5 was demonstrated for Sr2VFeAsO3-δ with δ = 0.150(2), which does not show bulk superconductivity and show V-3d ferrimagnetism. The strategies to enhance ZT for Sr2VFeAsO3-δ will be discussed.

In this study, we demonstrate a Temperature (T)-Pressure (P) phase diagram for (Y,Gd)BCO thin film annealed at T = 573 K-673 K. The T-P phase diagram is an essential information to elucidate possible approach to demonstrate such an anion-doped (Y,Gd)BCO thin films. As-grown (Y,Gd)BCO thin films were made by metal organic depositions and processed on the best annealing condition for obtaining the highest transition temperature, 92.5 K. Crystallographic phase of annealed (Y,Gd)BCO thin films were checked by X-ray diffraction (XRD) (Rigaku, RINT2500Ultra18). XRD patterns of (Y,Gd)BCO are shown in the figure. The orthorhombic crystallographic phase of (Y,Gd)BCO thin films appears in a sample annealed at 673 K.

Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ consists of a carrier conducting FeAs layer and carrier blocking Sr2CrO3-δ layer. Polycrystalline Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ samples were prepared by a solid-state reaction. And hot-pressed (HP) Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ (δ=0.250) were prepared from polycrystalline Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ. The amounts of oxygen deficiency (δ) for the polycrystalline and HP samples were determined assuming a linear relation between δ and lattice volume (V). The c axis of HP Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ sample is slightly oriented along the pressure direction. Transport properties of HP Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ were measured at temperature (T) = 300?673 K. HP Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ exhibits a maximum electrical resistivity (ρ) 58 mΩ cm at 473 K. HP Sr2CrFeAsO3-δ also exhibits a minimum thermal conductivity (κ) 3.5 W m?1 K?1 at 300 K.

EuSn2As2 is magnetic material that was reported by Arguilla et al in 2017. The crystal structure of
EuSn2As2 is classified in hexagonal lattice, and the space group is R3-m. In EuSn2As2, a layer of Eu2+
and two [Sn2As2]2- layers are alternately stacked by van der Waals attractoin force. In 2019, EuSn2P2
whose crystallographic structures are identical to EuSn2As2, was reported by Gui et al. Such kinds
of crystallographic structures have been focused as candidates for thermoelectric materials from
1954. At present, these are studied again as a candidate substance for which topological transport
phenomena may be observed. In this symposium, we demonstrate magnetization (M) as a function of
magnetic field (H), Arrott plot, and temperature (T) dependence of spontaneous magnetic polarization
(Ms) for polycrystalline EuSn2As2.

近年、新奇機能性材料の創出の観点から、機能性二次元材料をファンデルワールス力により積層した層状物質が注目を集めている。これらの物質系では、層間の電気的、光学的、またスピン軌道結合を自在に設計し、制御することが可能になると期待される。このような観点から、我々は二次元(層内)強磁性Eu 層により二枚のSnAs 層が挟まれたEuSn2As2に関して研究を行った。

熱電変換材料の性能は無次元性能指数ZT=S2σT/κ、すなわちゼーベック係数(S)、電気伝導率(σ)、絶対温度(T)、熱伝導率(κ)より定義される。ZTが1を超えると実用的な熱電材料といえる。混合アニオン層状化合物の1111系BiCuSeOは1付近のZTを示すことが知られている。われわれは1111系AeMnPnF (Ae: アルカリ土類)の熱電変換性能を非経験的計算により部分的に予想した。

六方晶EuSn2As2はその格子にファンデルワールス結合を有する金属間化合物である。Sn2As2層とEu層が積層しており、代表的な熱電変換材料であるBi2Te3と晶系と化学結合は類似している。我々は低空隙率の多結晶EuSn2As2を作製し、その熱電変換性能を明らかにした。

Finite internal magnetic fields (Bint) of 57Fe are observed for normal conducting Sr2VFeAsO3-δ with δ = 0.267-0.631, exhibiting a coexistence of ferrimagnetic V phase and an antiferromagnetic Fe phase at low temperatures. Superconducting phases of Sr2VFeAsO3-delta appear for samples with δ = 0.031-0.145, although superconducting traces are observed for samples with δ =0.204-0.237.

Mixed Anion Layered Compounds (MALC) exhibit various electronic and functional properties.
In our research, polycrystalline Ca and F co-doped LaFeAsO (La1-xCaxFeAsO1-yFy) samples were synthesized to examine the possible higher Tc stimulated by the co-doping. The polycrystalline samples were prepared by heating a stoichiometric mixtures of LaAs, FeAs, CaO, La2O3, and CaF2 powders. The phase purities and lattice constants were examined by powder X-ray diffraction. The electrical resistivity was measured by DC four-probe technique.
Figure 1 shows the powder X-ray diffraction patterns for La1-xCaxFeAsO1-yFy samples. The main peaks of each samples were assigned to a tetragonal phase. Superconductivity was not observed for nominal　(y-x) = 0.05.　While, superconductivity was observed for nominal (y-x) = 0.15. Tc is observed at 31.5 K for nominal (x, y) = (0.25, 0.50). This Tc is higher than that of LaFeAsO1-xFx.

密度汎関数理論による電子状態計算により, 鉄系高温超伝導体の母結晶であるLaFeAsOとCaFeAsFの固溶体の化学的な安定性を調べ, その内部エネルギーと, 安定構造の理論値を得た。幾つかの原材料の内部エネルギーと目的物質であるLaFeAsO/CaFeAsF固溶体の内部エネルギーの差分を取り、生成エンタルピーの大きさから、目的の固溶体が合成可能であると予想した。実際に、目的の固溶体の合成に成功した。

[Ca12Al28O64]4+(e-)4は C12A7と呼ばれる室温で安定なエレクトライドである。C12A7エレクトライドをアンモニア触媒として知られるRuの担持剤とした(Ru/C12A7:e-)は、常圧においては既存のハーバーボッシュ法よりも高い収率を示す触媒と報告されている。この報告は、(Ru/C12A7:e-)の電子状態を密度汎関数理論によりシミュレートした結果を報告する。Ru 原子層一層の状態においてのみC12A7とRuが混在する表面が安定であると計算された。

ケステライト型構造を示す半導体であるCu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS)は、光電変換効率12%が報告されている太陽電池材料である。ショックレー-クエイサーリミットは、太陽電池の変換効率の上限を示す基準である。その基準を信じれば、太陽電池材料の光学バンドギャップは1.34 eV付近にあることが理想的である。CZTSにFeをドープした化学組成を仮定し、密度汎関数理論により求まった光学バンドギャップの計算値を報告する。その値は、汎関数に依存する。

新規なコバルト酸化ニクタイドであるSr2Sc(Co1-xFex)PO3の31P-核磁気共鳴(NMR)の結果を報告する。NMRは、結晶の局所構造を調べるために有用であるため、これを利用した。31P-NMRは粉末試料に特有の波形を示す。核スピン緩和率を示す1/T1は温度に対して比例する。1/T1TはFeの置換量の上昇とともに上昇する。すなわち、Feの置換はフェルミ準位付近の状態密度の上昇を与える。

鉄系高温超伝導体の内、結晶構造中にペロブスカイトブロックを有する遷移金属混合アニオン化合物Sr2VFeAsO3- (21113)を使用した超伝導線材を世界で初めて作製した。超伝導線材のコア部分に21113を使用した。Tc付近の臨界電流密度の温度変化より、低温外挿による超伝導臨界電流密度を明らかにした。

ZrCuAsSi型構造 (いわゆる1111構造)を示す透明導電性化合物LnCuSO, LaCuSeO, CeCuSO, BiCuSeOの熱電性能指数を報告する。測定は手製の定常法による4端子抵抗測定装置、ゼーベック係数測定装置、熱伝導率測定装置により行なった。それぞれの装置に対して、標準資料としてNIST Feを使用した。予備的な測定により、上述の化合物に対して得られた試料の内、もっとも熱伝導率が小さいのはCeCuSOであった。

2011年3月の福島第一原子力発電所事故1)により，多量の放射性物質が東日本に降り注いだ．放射線強度は，航空機モニタリングの手法により観測され，数値が公開されている2)．また，山岳関係者によって山岳地域における放射線量の測定が行われているが3)，事故由来の134Csおよび137Csによる  線と，岩石に含まれる40Kによる  線（自然放射線）とを分離し測定をする必要がある．山の地形がCsの分布に及ぼす影響も考慮するべきである．理工学部山岳部としての特徴を活かし，自然放射線の影響を考慮しつつ，山岳地域における放射性Csの分布とその機構を明らかにする．

　View Summary

超伝導線材は、電気抵抗がゼロになる現象である超伝導の応用の一つであり研究が盛んにおこなわれている。しかし、これまでに作製されている超伝導線材は特殊な技術が必要であり、超伝導線材作製には膨大なコストがかかる。そこで、我々の研究室はSr2VFeAsO3-dの合成及びその磁気状態相図の知見を得ているため、金属シースに超伝導粉末を詰め圧延後、熱処理を行うPowder-in-tube(PIT)法によるSr2VFeAsO3-dの線材化に取り組んでいる。本講演では、我々が得ているSr2VFeAsO3-dの合成法とその線材化の現状を報告する。

鉄系超伝導体が発見されてから、超伝導転移温度(Tc)を上昇させる研究が進められてきた。 そのうちの一つであるSmFeAsOは、酸素欠陥導入、圧力印加、水素ドープにより超伝導化し、SmFeAsO1-xHyは55 K程度のTcを示す. 我々は試料の天然同位体組成のSmを144Smに置換することで生じる同位体効果を定量し、Tcに対する同位体効果を明らかにした。

鉄系高温超伝導体は、非常に多くの化合物において発見されている。その内、単位格子中にペロブスカイト関連酸化物層を有するSr2TMFeAsO3-dは、酸素欠陥量定量の困難さから、化学組成とい磁性の相関について議論のある状況であった。我々は、Sr2CrFeAsO3-d酸素量を系統的に変化させた多結晶を合成した。また、57Feメスバウワ分光により、Sr2CrFeAsO3-dの磁気相図を世界ではじめて作製した。

希土類と遷移金属を含む層状化合物の磁性体は、重い電子系超伝導体やNi-B系超伝導体の発見により、20年以上に渡り、物質探索の対象であった。われわれは、過去に報告例の少ない、Cr系層状金属間化合物 LnCr2Si2C (Ln = La, Ce, Sm)のCrと希土類の磁気構造を理論的に検討し、Crの磁性はS型反強磁性が最安定であることを明らかにした。

銅酸化物超伝導体は結晶構造中にペロブスカイ
ト関連構造を有し, ランタノイド等からなるキャリ
アブロック層とCuO2 面からなる電気伝導層の2 種
類の層が交互に積み重なって構成される層状構造
を取る[1]. 高温超伝導体多結晶の臨界電流密度(Jc)
は多結晶を構成する微結晶の粒界接合の形状によ
りJc が大きく変化する. そのため単結晶であること
が望ましい.
我々は多糖類の構造を鋳型 (バイオテンプレー
ト)として用いたYBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO)マイクロ/ナノ
ワイヤの合成を行い, その構造を評価した.

アンモニア(NH3)は、鉄を触媒として用いたHaber-Bosch(HB)法により、水素と酸素から合成されている。この反応は、高温高圧の温度圧力条件が必要であるため、多大なエネルギーを要する。我々はPAW法による非経験的な状態密度計算コードVienna Ab-initio Simulation Packageを用いてFe、Ru、Niそれぞれの界面への窒素分子吸着エネルギーを求め、HB法メカニズムの一部を解釈した。

ThCr2Si2型構造を示す化合物群は、空間群はI4/mmmに属する正方格子の結晶である。この化合物群は、重い電子系の超伝導体であるCeCu2Si2や鉄系超伝導体の内、もっとも高い臨界電流密度を示す超伝導線材として期待されているBa1-xKxFe2As2を含み、マテリアルインフォマティクスの対象として興味深い。本講演では実験的な電子物性と理論的な電子物性の比較を行い、4f電子の電子状態の解釈ついて報告する。

われわれはこれまでに、層状オキシニクタイドLnFeAsO1-xFx (Ln = La, Sm, Eu and Gd)において、電子磁気状態相図を明らかにしている。いずれの系も、x = 0 の母相は反強磁性金属であり超伝導を示さず、5 at.%程度のフッ素(F)ドープにより超伝導相が現れ、この超伝導相はFe由来の磁気相とは共存しない。本講演では、Ln = Gd を中心に、低温の結晶構造相転移のフッ素濃度依存性について報告する。

われわれはこれまでに、層状オキシニクタイドCeFePOにおいて、常磁性強磁性メタ磁性転移、FeサイトへのRuドープによる擬二次元Ce正方格子の次元性制御による強磁性相から常磁性相への量子臨界点、及び、FeサイトへのCrドープによる常磁性強磁性磁気相転移などを明らかにした。

LaFeAsOは、鉄系超伝導体の母相ではあるものの、反強磁性金属である。LaFeAsOは、酸素サイトに、酸素(O)や水素(H)を部分置換することにより生じる電子ドープにより超伝導相となることが知られている。しかしながら、LaFeAsOのホールドープによる電子相の変化については、報告例が少ない。われわれは、LaサイトへEu2+をドープすることで、ホールドープ領域の電子相を明らかにした。

熱電変換材料は、無次元性能指数ZT=S2/()で評価される。ここでSはゼーベック係数、は電気抵抗率、は熱伝導率、Tは絶対温度を示す。毒性が少ない酸化物の熱電材料の内、地殻中に豊富に含まれる材料を選択することは、この分野の課題である。われわれは、新規な熱電材料候補として、注目を集めているBiCuSeOを実際に合成し、そのZTを測定した。得られたZTは0.18程度で、Liuらの報告と矛盾しない。

　View Summary

量子相転移(QCP)は、磁性に近接し、しばしば超伝導相の出現を伴うことから、多くの研究者に着目される物理現象である。本報告では、重い電子系で生じる強磁性的なQCPに関して予備的な報告を行う。Ce(Fe1-xCrx)PO (x = 0.10, 0.20, 0.30)多結晶試料は、固相反応により作製された。各試料の結晶相はX線回折により確認した。各試料の磁気転移温度はアロットプロットにより求めた。Ce(Fe1-xCrx)POのQCPは、x=0.00-0.10に存在する。

単位格子中にペロブスカイト関連キャリアブロック層を有する、混合アニオン化合物 Sr2ScMPO3 (M = Mn, Ni)を新規に合成し、結晶構造、電気的性質、熱起電力を明らかにした。Sr2ScMPO3 (M = Mn, Ni)は、いずれも正方晶であり、M = Mnの場合は、絶縁的、Niの場合は金属的な電気的性質を示す。M = Niの20-300 Kでの熱起電力の大きさは、|10| VK1以下である。

GdFeAsO1-xFxの結晶構造、及び電気的、磁気的性質を、フッ素濃度を体積べガード則を基準として定量しその電子磁気状態を明らかにした。GdFeAsOの電気抵抗率は、150 K 付近(Tanom)で温度の低下とともに、急激に減少し、低温で残留抵抗を示す。一方、フッ素を配合した試料は最高で47 K付近の超伝導転移を示した。57Feメスバウワ分光により母相の反強磁性相を低温で確認した。これらの結果は先行研究と矛盾しない。

　View Summary

Wurtzite boron nitride (w-BN) and cubic boron nitride (c-BN) have interested researchers because of their high hardness and chemical inertia to ferrous materials. Moreover, recent theoretical calculations verify that w-BN is harder than diamond [1]. However, since w-BN phase exists in the low-temperature and high-pressure range between h-BN and c-BN phases [2,3], it was difficult to obtain pure w-BN excluding h-BN and c-BN as second phase. We demonstrate an optimal temperature to obtain single phase w-BN at relatively low pressure (around 10 GPa) by in situ Energy Dispersive X-ray diffraction (EDXRD) under HPHT at the synchrotron radiation facility, SPring-8.
w-BN appears under 10(1) GPa and an optimal temperature to obtain w-BN single-phase exists at 1000 C, and h-BN and c-BN are mixed under and over this temperature.

SmFeAsO1-xFx, SmFeAs1-x PxO1-yFy (Sm1111)の多結晶試料について, magnetic Jcを拡張Beanモデルを用いて求め, 4端子法により測定される電圧降下の閾値を定義して求まるtransport Jcと比較した同一試料の磁束密度分布をSQUID顕微鏡により直接観察し, 多結晶体における磁場侵入長の算出を試みた.
5 Kにおけるmagnetic JcはSmFeAsO1-xFx (x = 0.082) が〜13kA cm-2, SmFeAs1-xPxO1-yFy (x=0.02, y = 0.10)が〜12 kA cm-2であった.
多結晶試料の磁場侵入長をLondonの理論[1]を仮定し, 算出すると単結晶等で報告されるIntrinsicな値[2]に比べ数桁大きい値を示した.学会では, この値を多結晶の結晶粒界の影響を考慮し解釈する.

Introduction
In 2004, the boron-doped diamond (BDD) was found to be a superconductor [1]. On the other hand, it is known that diamond surface is easily modified by chemical treatment [2], and physical properties, such as surface conductivity, could be modulated by the surface modification [3]. Along these lines, it is expected that superconducting properties of BDD could be modulated by surface modification.
Experimental Section
The as-deposited BDD was hydrogenated, and then oxidized electrochemically to obtain the oxygen-terminated BDD. Thus obtained oxidized BDD was re-hydrogenated to obtain the hydrogen-terminated BDD. For each termination, superconducting properties were examined with transport and magnetic measurements.
Results and Discussion
In the transport measurements, although the critical temperature unchanged, critical current density (JC) decreased after oxidation and recovered after hydrogenation. In the magnetic measurements, the JC were determined from M-H curves using the extended Bean model. As is the case with the transport measurements, the JC could be modulated in a reversible manner between the hydrogen- and oxygen-terminated BDD (Fig.). This is because the volume fractions of the superconducting phases changed by surface modification.

Ternary or quaternary compounds Cu2–TM–A–Ch4 (TM; transition metal, A; group 14 or 15 elements, Ch; chalcogen) are promising p-type thermoelectric materials because of their heavy but still conducting valence band, which is composed of Cu 3d and Ch 3p orbitals. Lattice thermal conductivity should be suppressed by cation disorder, however, coexistence of transition metals such as Cu and Zn on quaternary compounds complicate the understanding of the details of cation disorder by means of conventional X-ray diffraction.
In this work, We demonstrate the crystal structure and thermoelectric properties of kuramite Cu3Sn(Se,S)4. Structural analysis revealed that polycrystalline samples crystallize in tetragonal I–42m space group. The 2a site was occupied by Cu only, while 2b and 4d sites were occupied by Cu and Sn partial disorder. A decrease of electrical conductivity (rho) with temperature indicates that kuramite is metal or degenerate semiconductor, which is in contrast to most of other stannite–type compounds with band gap of 0.96–3.25 eV. At the conference, we will also report the alloy effect on thermal conductivity of Cu3Sn(Se,S)4 solid solution.

Ae2MFePnO3 (so-called 21113 systems) with perovskite-type layers such as Ae2MO3, where Ae denotes alkaline earth metals, M does Sc, Ti, Cr, V and other transition metal atoms and Pn does As and P shows superconductivity at T < 46 K. Sr2VFeAsO3-d is a representative compound in 21113 systems. [Zhu et al, Phys. Rev. B (2009); Ogino et al, Supercond. Sci. Technol. (2009); Ogino et al, Supercond. Sci. Technol. (2009)] Although the oxygen deficiency (d) as a function of Tc is still controversial in Sr2VFeAsO3-d, many samples have been reported as superconductors with Tc = 24-37 K. In this study, a polycrystalline Sr2VFeAsO3-d (d = ~0.1- 0.6) were prepared by a solid state reaction using an alumina tube in a sealed silica tube. DC electrical resistivity was measured by a four-probe technique. Magnetization measurements were performed on a superconducting quantum interference device. 57Fe Mossbauer spectra were obtained using conventional equipment. The electronic and magnetic phase diagram of Sr2VFeAsO3-d is elucidated.

クロムイオンによる正方格子を有するLnCr2Si2Cは金属的な電気的性質を示す金属間化合物である。アーク溶融による試料合成を行い、それぞれの組成の炭素(C)欠陥による磁性の変化、Siサイトへのホウ素(B)ドープによる磁性の変化を調べ、Siの5 at%程度Bに置換したSmCr2Si2Cは4 Kの低温で遍歴強磁性を示すことがわかった。

硫化物系低熱伝導率材料Cu4InxSn1-xS4 (x = 0-0.2)の熱電性能を報告する。この物質の特徴は、結晶学的な斜方晶高温相-単斜晶低温相の一次相転移を230 K付近で生じることである。Inの部分置換の施された試料は縮退伝導を示す。ゼーベック係数は単斜晶相で最大値を示した。無次元性能指数ZTは、化学組成の最適化により上昇する。

　View Summary

The observation of grain boundary structures is essential technique to fabricate high-Tc superconducting wires. Spatial crystal distribution analysis for grain boundary of superconducting polycrystalline SmFeAsO1-xFx is demonstrated by Raman Spectroscopy. Polycrystalline SmFeAsO1-xFx samples were synthesized using two-step solid state reaction described elsewhere [New J. Phys.12, 033005 (2010)]. Samples' surface and their structures were checked by microscopic optical measurement and electron beam backscattering diffraction (EBSD) analysis. The Raman spectroscopy was performed at the range from 150 cm-1 to 500 cm-1. F contents (x) were 0, 0.019, 0.037, 0.045, 0.069, 0.075. Although our several spectra are similar to which had been reported [Hadjiev, et al, Phys. Rev. B. 77, 220505 (2008)], our results indicate that grain boundary structures are mixtures of small single crystalline SmFeAsO1-xFx and amorphous-FeAs. Details of the Raman spectra will be presented at the conference.

2次元的に広がった層状構造を有する鉄系超伝導体LnFeAsO1-xFx中のFeAs4四面体の歪みと、その超伝導転移温度(Tc)の相関を実験的に明らかにした。フッ素ドープ量の増加とともに、FeAs4四面体の正方晶からの歪みは変化し、As-Fe-As角度 111.7にて最高のTc = 43 K を示した。 x= 0.05-0.11 付近でフッ素量に対してTcは単純増加せず、ばらついた値をとる。

鉄系超伝導体で最も超伝導転移温度(Tc)の高いSmFeAsO1-xFxの可視光領域における光学的性質を明らかにし、光学伝導度を明らかにした。 SmFeAsO1-xFxの光学伝導度はドルーデ型の挙動を示し、0.47-4.76 eVの付近にバンド間遷移に起因すると考えられる構造を示した。これらの構造に関する考察は第一原理によるバンド計算により解析可能と考えられる。

2008年2月における鉄系高温超伝導体の発見から現在までに、類似の構造を有する新しい超伝導体の発見が続いている。最高のTcを示すLnFeAsO1-xFx (いわゆる1111系)の母相は反強磁性金属であり、その結晶構造は低温で斜方晶に転移する。1111系はフッ素、酸素欠陥導入、結晶内への水素導入によりFeの磁気モーメントが消失した化学組成にて有限のTcが出現する。このような反強磁性体への異価数イオンドープにより引き起こされるTc の出現は銅酸化物高温超伝導体と同一の特徴である。

TM3B2S2型化合物は大まかにシャンダイト型(Shandite)、スタンニド型(Stannide)とパーカライト型(Parkerite)に分けられる物質群である。これらの性質はいずれも金属的であるが、その磁性は常磁性、強磁性、超伝導と多様である。この内Shandite型は単位格子中に結合角度のひずみが非常に大きなアンチペロブスカイト構造を有しており、遷移金属サイトを他の金属で部分置換することによる電子物性・磁性の変化を期待している。
