顆粒球とラテックス粒子の相互作用（顆粒球からの放出成分による粒子の凝集）の進展を、電子顕微鏡観察、酵素消費量測定、顆粒球体積測定で追跡し、それぞれの測定間の相関を調べた。凝集性が著しい粒子の素を除けば酵素消費量と顆粒球体積増加との間には明確な相関が認められた。

大きさ、電荷、親水性の異なる種々のラテックス粒子の顆粒球に貪食させたところ0.6-1.2　程度のものが貪食されやすく、それ以下の大きさの粒子では、電荷が高いもしくは疎水性であるものだけが貪食された。貪食過程を吸着過程と取込過程とに分けると、前者はほぼコロイド科学的にDLVO理論で説明できた。

AAに代えてN.N-ジメチルアクリルアミド、N-ヒドロキシメチルアクリルアミド(HMA)をStと共重合しても、やはり三段階からなる重合過程が認めたれたが、メタクリルアミド系は例外であった。単分散粒子を得るのに、St-HMAが有効でHMAを予めある程度重合した後Stを加えて重合を続けると、粒子径が増大した。

乳化剤を加えずスチレンと4-ビニルピリジンを水系共重合し、カオチンラテックスを得た。低pHでの重合は、4-ビニルピリジンの優先的反応段階と、それに続くスチレンの優先的反応段階とに二分され、表面電荷密度の高いラテックスを生成した。高pHでは単調な共重合が進行し、4-ビニルピリジンユニットは、粒子内にも均一に分布した。

メタクリル酸メチルの乳化重合系の温度曲線の特徴を研究した。重合の後半に認められる著しい温度上昇より、0.1ミクロンのオーダーのポリマー粒子内でもTrommsdorff効果が現れると結論し、粒子体積、粒子数重合開始剤濃度の関数としての温度式を導いた。
