産業組織論と中小企業の接点に当たる部分を研究テーマとしている。 具体的には、主としてケーススタディ（フィールドワーク）によって （１）ネットワーク組織論、取引コスト論などの成果を取り入れての、下請け関係、 戦略的提携など「企業間関係」の研究 （２）企業の研究開発行動やイノベーションの経済分析を基礎とした、 中小・ベンチャー企業の研究 ??をおこなっている。
